How's this for an update?

I started working full time this morning! I completely forgot what traffic is like in Saskatoon at 8:00 am... I'm more used to 10:00 on my way to school! Big difference. So I was almost late, but not quite. those phones start ringing right when we open them, 8:30 am. Anyway my point is that I'm happy to finally be making some money just in time for Christmas.

Speaking of that, I have not started my shopping except for Kayden's gift. Furthermore, I hardly have any idea what I'm getting anyone. Even worse, I'm not sure when I'm gonna have time to do it! I have an exam Thursday, and then all weekend I'm in Winnipeg, and then next Thursday I leave for New York, and then the week after that I have two more exams and then it's CHRISTMAS! Okay so writing that all out made me realize I have to do it early next week, Monday after Winnipeg, and done before Wednesday so that I can pack for NYC. I also have Friday night this week. That would be a good shopping night, the malls are usually less busy that night. But Friday night is Elim's musical...It'll have to be later. boy oh boy.

I have another hair appointment Saturday morning... I think I want to go darker once again... just lowlights, nothing too scary... but I feel my hair needs to be slightly more bold, a little more drastic... we'll see.

Back to the shopping thing, I still don't have a dress or an outfit for this weekend's fancy Christmas party at the golf and country club in Winterpeg. I am starting to feel that the dress thing may not be a good idea afterall and may go for my usual black pants and fancy tank and pretty heels. Still worried, again, I don't know when I'll go shopping for something. Thursday I guess. It'll be hard to give up my Thursday night TV to go shopping. Survivor is down to the bottom 5 this week, the Apprentice at the bottom 3, The O.C., well I can't miss it, and I missed the last half of ER last week so I don't know what happened with the whole marriage proposal thing. These are important shows to me. JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW.... for the record.... Thursday is officially the ONLY day I watch TV anymore. So that is why I allow myself the four shows.

Well, I just read a fantastic book, Memoirs of a Geisha, now a major motion picture :) It was so good, I read it in about 3 days. I can't wait to see the movie. I love love love reading a book before the movie. I have read In Her Shoes, The Constant Gardener and now this one in the last few months, and have only seen In Her Shoes. Which I loved too. Book was better of course, but still a good fun movie. I'm looking for another good read for the Christmas holidays after my exams, so please, suggestions come my way. It doesn't even have to be a movie either ;)

So my car is a problem once again. I have zero heat or defrost about 50% of the time. I LOVE THAT IN SASKATCHEWAN. FRICK, HOW ABOUT I JUST WALK IN -23 CELCIUS???? I'd love that too. Anyway it is being fixed tomorrow. I hope to top it all off it costs me $300 (knock on wood). Wow I can't believe how superstitious I just was... I actually knocked on my desk! Haha, wow I'm shocked with myself.

Lynnel, Chad and I drove to Moose Jaw on the weekend, and we went and saw the tunnels and had a lovely supper and then went to the mineral water pool! It was so much fun! The pool reminded me of the hotsprings at Fairmont or Banff. Half was inside and half was outside and it was a perfect night for sitting in the hot pool outside with the snow all around. Chad met some friends there, so me and Lynnel considered it our little day together basically. We had some funny moments. One I can't say on here because it's bad. Hehe, maybe I'll tell you if you ask me. We didn't get home until 3 am on Sunday morning, so it was a very full, but fun filled day! I like Moose Jaw. Such a funny little name. Sicamouse is a funny little name too. Those moose must have been running rampant back in the town-naming days!

Well I best get back to studying for my crazy hard exam on Thursday morning. Environmental Geography. Should be interesting to see my mark go down by a million percent seeing as this exam is worth 40%. Too bad...I'll have to work a little bit harder and not be distracted by blogs!!!

Happy belated birthday Alison! We all love you so much.

Don't forget Elim Christmas Presentation this weekend! It's gonna be amazing!

Love Kristin Anne

Hey Kristin, I was down in Tamworth again this past weekend and I met the Karen you stayed with. I asked if she remembered you and she said yes and I told her you said hello. She said to say hello back...so hello from Karen! :)

I'm reading A Town Like Alice right now by Nevil Shute and it's a really good book. He writes very simply but he still manages to draw you into his story. I'm really enjoying it!
