Distractions

i wish there was a way to get rid of ALL distractions when there is a paper to write. let's see, 2 more years of school = approx 20 more classes = at least, oh my gosh, TWENTY MORE PAPERS TO WRITE! AHADLFJADJFKADJF, I might as well quit right now! i don't think there is any way in heaven that i could possibly have it in me to write another 20 papers. i am glad that at this moment of time in my life i just have this one to write because i remember last sememster in march i had to write 5 in a 3 week span and let me tell you, those were the worst 3 weeks of my entire education, all the way from kindergarten to elementary school to high school to bible college to my second year of university (apparently i have never learned how to not do run on sentances).

speaking of kindergarten, i think that one of the reason's i must be so incredibly smart is because i took two years of it. no i did not FAIL kindergarten friends, in Ontario, kids go to jr. kindergarten and sr. kindergarten. ha, and then they go to grade 13! oh those suckers i am glad we moved before i had to do that too!!! but i can't even begin to imagine how smart i would be now if i had taken grade 13! okay so my old ontario friends, leave me a comment and let me know if that extra year of kindergarten and extra year of highschool made a significant difference in your smarty pants IQ today! unfortunately i think that only chris edwards is my only old ontario friend who reads my blog, so hopefully he STILL reads it, and does not do the old "lurker" thing he likes to do so much!

well this week i have been TRYING so hard to get my schedule in order for the fall for school. so far it's NOT looking like my most interesting/fun year ever. i have to take some sort of freaking natural science class. um NO THANKS!!! biology? i would but it's a 6 credit course with a lab, so thats 3 times the work i need to do. chem, physics and math 110, i would rather die than take. geol 108 - rocks? oh MY. so it looks like i'm taking some boring environmental geography class in second semester. this class will actually fulfull TWO requirements because i am getting a minor in Human Geography and i need this environmental geog class to get that minor. i'm a little bit scared but it will have to do. the only class that i'm actually a little bit excited about is European History in the 20th Century. i think this will be SUPER interesting, however it's totally not even a recommended course in my major, so i hope i don't waste 6 credits on it! anyway i am TOTALLY rambling here it's just crazy.

well to get off of school stuff, i have to say that my stupid dog molly is the absolutist worst companion in the whole entire dog world. when mom and dad are away it normally would be nice to have a nice dog here with you to bark when someone comes to the door and scare robbers away. NOT IF YOUR DOG IS MOLLY. if she was a human she would seriously have the highest blood pressure in the world. she is a maniac stress case. last night she was afraid of the wind outside the window, and she was trembling so much that the bed was shaking, and when i tried to push her off the bed so that maybe ONE of us could sleep, she would just sort of change positions, but eventually end up right back where she started. trembling and shaking because she's such a pussy. that's right molly, i called you a pussy. cat. MY OH MY. and tonight it's looking like a thunderstorm, i don't even want to think about how scared she will be tonight. since i got home from work she has not left my side. she follows me into the bathroom and for the last hour she has been sitting underneath my desk chair, and every time i move i almost run over her little paws. geez louise!!!!

okay so this is one of the longest rambles i have done in an extreeeeemeely long time. i imagine most of you have not been able to help skipping a word here and a line there, but that's okay. mostly i just wrote this to get my mind of the Habsburg Empire and what they did to the beautiful city of Prague. i find history papers to be extremely difficult because it's hard to put HISTORY into your own words. i find most of my paper ends up being footnoted and it doesn't seem to be my own work or something. most of my papers are more analytical than simply "fact re-wording."

anyway.

word of the day: saponaceous
definition: having the qualities of soap (and liable to slip away)
in other words: greasy
utilizing "saponaceous" in an every day setting:
"no i will not go out with you, you saponaceous pig!"

i'm sure most of you will find great use from this.

soooooo leave a comment and don't forget to tell all your friends!!!

Kristin, a bit bitter these days??? WOw? Harsh words for poor Molly! You will find that once you exit University Student land, writing university papers was one of the easiest things you will ever have to do, so try to enjoy it, you will probably long for those days(ok maybe it's me that's bitter). Anyway, I took Geog and it was fine. In fact it was probably the easiest class I EVER took. You can do it.

I loved the whole JR Kindergarten/Sr Kindergarten thing. They no longer force people into grade 13, but sometimes I still think it's a smart idea. Smart. S-M-R-T.
