i'm a plagerizer

actually i'm not because i'm going to give credit where credit is due...
i copied this post from amanda's blog (http://www.angelfire.com/mb2/manda1yn82/blog/)
and i thought it was fun... basically if you comment on my blog, that is leave your name and a little love note to me, i will try to answer the following about each person:

01. I will write something about you.
02. I will then tell what song/movie reminds me of you.
03. I will try to name a single word that best describes you.
04. I'll tell you the most memorable moment I've had with you.
05. I will tell you what animal you remind me of.
06. I'll then tell you something that I've always wondered about you.
07. I'll write something you've taught me.

i hope i do not regret this... ;)

Well Kristin, I hope you are happy, You are now "forcing" me to write a comment! I am curious how you will answer the questions about me. So have fun and start writing!

oh kristy-anne you have set the bar so high! but you didn't have to answer the questions about me! but you're answers were fabulous. i am going on my lunch break but i will return and answer the q's for you this afternoon.
and also for you angela!

For Kristy-Anne:
1. what a girl, love you so much, so creative and genuine. i can't BELIEVE you remembered the "essay" i wrote! it took me a moment to remember what the heck you were talking about, and then i was like..... OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH my!
2. "she's all that" - just the artsy/hot part of that chick, because honey you're all that!
3. creative
4. playing kick the can at your 13th birthday party! in fact, it could've been your 12th... we had just moved to saskatchewan, and had only been in town for about a month, and we played that game outside, then went inside and played "have you ever".
5. a sumo is kind of an animal! how about an appliance that you remind me of instead? i think we decided on a coffee maker. a fancy cappachino one of course.
6. i wonder how you are able to keep your incredibly busy life together!!!
7. you've taught me that you can really reach your dreams if you work hard and believe in yourself, b/c kristy-anne, you're really doing it!

Angela:
1. angela is my sanity at work. we talk if there's nothing to do and she listens to all my complaining. and she is the same type of shopper as i am - quick browse of the store, maybe try on a couple things, pay and move on!
2. bridget jones' diary: edge of reason - only b/c we saw that movie together and we loved it and neither of us had our boyfriends complaining by our side the entire time! what bliss!
3. fun (to travel with and to camp with... haha we haven't camped together yet, but i already know it will be fun!!!)
another word: helpful. you answer all my questions at work that i'm too embarrased to ask outloud.
4. navigating through edmonton going through our first traffic circles together; making 69 jello shooters for kim's suprise party :)
5. hmm.. a kitten?
6. well this is more about kim - i have always wondered what made him buy you a freaking snowmobile in the first place! (sorry that is the best q/ i can come up with!)
7. you taught me (and continue to teach me!) all the health insurance information that i could possibly need!

Kristin. I miss our breakfasts together. Remember when you and Lynnel would come up with all those killer stories? That was so much fun. And then of course I'm still hoping to do a world tour with our band. And play on the frozen lake. Anyway, you're awesome. Love ya,

-matty-

oh my kwiwan. you are going to have quite the task answering all those q's for everyone. have fun ;) i want to know what your essay was on. ps... i love your beautiful soul. (just like jesse mccartney. i really do.)

For Matty:
1. i greatly enjoy the company of matthew hutchings. he is funny and charming and oh so sexy! and he has a band that is gaining momentum all across canada! matt hutchings is quite a catch ladies!
2. this is a question i am not sure i am ready to answer because i think you would take my answer seriously... when i have an answer i'll leave it on your blog. (i'm not cheaping out on you here, i really will when i come up with something good!)
3. inspiring - look at all you've done with your band!!! (don't forget your true band roots however...did we ever name ourselves?)
4. without a doubt, breakfast's with you and scott, me and lynnel at humpty's. 6 am was early but we managed to do it several times! i already said it above, love the company of matthew hutchings!
5. umm.. this is the worst question out of all of them... how about... a bear? a friendly bear of course. but maybe you can be mean too if you were really mad? i'm not sure.
6. is matt gonna be famous one day? should i get his autograph now or later?
7. matt you have taught me through your example that it is a good thing to take risks for something that you truly believe in - moving to bc was exciting but at the same time, scary (i'm assuming... it would be for me at least), but you did it because you believed in yourself enough that you risked it all to get your band going. you have an exciting life ahead of you!

I know Kristin said not to fill this out about her, but I want to, so I’m gonna
1. Kristin is the smile of the party, she is an awesome friend and though she may not know it, I miss her a whole lot.
2. Ha ha, I think its called Oh happy day, I remember when the choir sang that at Elim one Sunday. Hearing that song was ‘so Kristin’ and it reminds me of how much of an encourager she is.
3. Loveable. I don’t think I know one person that doesn’t like Kristin (If you do know someone, send em’ to my house, I have a freezer full of knuckle samiches!) Honestly though, she is the sweetest girl!
4. One of the most memorable moments was when we first met. I met her at Staples in Saskatoon. It was my first day back in the city, I was buying a CD Burner and she looked at me and said “Your Tyler Hay aren’t you?” And I was like how does this cute chick know who I am??? And she explained that she saw my picture in the CPC Newsletter! So I have to smile whenever I think of that!
5. Well a bunny I guess. Not sure why. Just a cutie I guess.
6. I guess I always wondered what you are like inside more, what your deep thoughts are. I wish I had gotten to know you better.
7. Kristin has taught me how to enjoy the joys of a smile and showed me what a good friend is really like. Thanks for being a good friend Kristin. You are super cool and I miss ya bud!

To Lynnel, Tyler, Jenn, Alison and Jenna - I am going on my lunch break at 2 and I plan to write my answers on a park bench for the entire hour and come back to report! Man, what have I done...

I mean, wow this is great!

And to Tyler, you're too kind! Seriously, I'm sure there's one or two out there who aren't all that fond of me. :) But your words were very nice and encouraging, so thank you.

kristin janzen said...

Lynnel:
1. oh mwyimo what a girlfriend you are. we are so perfect for one another! i am so glad that i have a friend like you. one who thus far has not moved away from me (for good at least!).
2. "falling into you" by celine dion because if i remember correctly, you and i danced to that song on the houseboat in st.lucia!
3. charismatic
4. hmm, being responsible for the "new rule" at living waters and that entire evening was darn good times. it was like mission impossible except we were really truly in trouble if we got caught. which we did. under the boys' cabin, they should've looked there first!
5. an animal.... a swan
6. why would lynnel EVER want to change the color of her hair?
7. be true to yourself, who cares what anyone else thinks! have fun doing the things you love and do them whole-heartedly. And that being pretty isn't always easy becauase it's really hard when all the boys like you. and only shave your legs when you feel like it.

Tyler-
1. Tyler was the class president at CPC when i went there a few years back. he always led with quiet confidence and integrity. i always have respsected him very much.
2. song or movie - I decided Monster's Inc, only because I remember that before it had even come out on video, you downloaded it on your laptop and put it on the big screen down in the lounge, around christmas time for a bunch of us to watch.
3. integrity
4. i liked what you put for #4, so i second that.
5. um. hmmm. a lion? sure a lion. they are strong!
6. always wondered what exactly was going on in that head of yours - your blog has opened you up a lot! its been interesting learning about your life.
7. there are many types of leaders - some loud and animated, and others with a quiet but strong confidence and encouragement. God can use anyone, with different talents, strengths and personalities.

Jenn -
1. jenn is fun and creative. she is a wonderful cook, and is also very thoughtful. just last week she brought me and my family some peanut butter cookies that were fab. she has a big laugh and has the ability to be friends with all kinds of different people!
2. Girls just wanna have fun! (sorry kristy-anne, i'm really not copying you here. it just happens to be true!)
3. outgoing and friendly
4. i just have memories of a pregnant jenn dancing at christmas! so cute.
5. a mother duck b/c her babies are so cute!
6. where did jen learn to be such a good cook? how is she so unafraid of raw meat? (that is my biggest fear of cooking).
7. jenn teaches me to meet people where they're at. she is good at finding the best in people. and she has taught me not to be scared to wear super trendy clothes. b/c they so good on you!

Alison:
1. oh alison my friend. you are beautiful inside and out. everyone who knows you loves you because you genuinely care. you are very smart and wise, and you have inspired my life in many ways.
2. Save the Last Dance - um because there is lots of fun dancing in it!
3. wisdom
4. a memorable moment for me is when i first actually met you and i think i was upset about something and you said, oh can i just give you a hug? and i was like who is this girl but i really needed a hug at that moment. and i have loved you ever since!
5. a wise owl but also a cute little bunny rabbit
6. i wonder if that summer when alison would say "oh leon and i are just best friends" if that was all a lie and she really did love him all along! (like i predicted).
7. alison you have taught me about grace and also a lot about love.

kristin janzen said...

Jenna -
1. jenna is my sister and she is very funny and lots of fun. she is silly and happy and sometimes absent-minded but she is a great mom and a great sister. oh how things have changed since we were teenagers. (dad will be crying as he reads this. hahaha. okay just kidding dad.)
2.
3. unique
4. breaking your nose when i kind of ran you into a wall when mom and dad were in israel. but for a nicer memory, your wedding day was probably a nicer one!
5. you're not an animal, you're a BEAST.
6. oh jenna, every day i wonder about you.
7. jenna teaches people to be themselves no matter what, to have fun and to live life to the fullest, because these are all things she does herself.

kristin janzen said...

oh shoot i forgot a song or a movie for jenna -
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!!!

okay i've done like a million of these things and i'm getting tired of thinking of songs!!!!

I think it's funny that you are TAKING credit for Jenna breaking her nose. Most people would never admit to such a thing. Jenna, your blog keeps shutting my computer down, but this is a comment for you!

I wish you could live here wtih me and we could see each other every day and be in love like the good old days :) thanks to you i have a great job also!
2. "do you know what it takes to love me" by Robyn - our little grade 10 dance for gym class! it's now in my head. also anything by jann arden, the coors and mariah carey. Mariah Carey especially from our california trip, i'm pretty sure we listened to it every single day.
3. genuine
4. memorable moment, oh how could i pick just one? definitely our big trip to california was a great memory for the rest of my life. i also remember us in class, especially in mr.dewer and mr.ellis :) i loved how we had every class together for pretty much all four years of high school! (like who does that?!!) it was wonderful. and you also hooked me on days of our lives, thanks for that, i still look it up on the internet for updates!
5. a sweet little kitten
