Bitter Sweet Blog

I am horribly disappointed
in this morning's weather. All week Rambling Dave has geared Saskatoon up for a beautiful warm and sunny May Long Weekend. Yet it is dreary and sad out there. However it is still morning, so the sun still has a small chance of making an appearance.

I did not have an enjoyable evening last night. I spent the evening at the hospital with Jeff and his entire family because his grandpa was not expected to make it through the night (although he actually did). I don't know if you've ever spent last moments with someone but it really is horrible. I was even there for when the pastor came to pray with everyone, and I thought, "What does one pray for in a time like this?" I think that is all I will say about that.

On a lighter note, I am not really too sure what to do with myself right now. It is Saturday morning and I have an entire weekend ahead of me and I have nothing to do. I was hoping to suntan but those plans are shot through the heart (AND YOU'RE TO BLAME, BABY YOU GIVE LOOVVVE A BAD NAME, BAD NAME). I was head banging to that just now. Anyway, I was thinking perhaps I could go shopping. Shopping is a very wonderful thing. It is the thing I do when I don't really know what to do. Or if I am having a bad day. It's like taking a pill when you have a headache, like a cup of hot chocolate on a snowy day or like a big furry hug from a friendly neighborhood bear. Hmm putting those peices together, I come to the conclusion that shopping = comfort. You're probably thinking right now that I am obviously pretty smart to have figured that out. The most recent addition to my wardrobe is a pair of white pants. White pants are very in this year ladies. Mine have been in my closet for a week now, complete with tags and all, but at least I have some. I need a wedding or something to wear them to.

Speaking of weddings, Jenna is going to one in Edmonton in the first weekend of June, and I am tagging along for the ride. Let me rephrase - I AM the ride. Right. Anyway my friend Angela is coming along and the three of us are going to stir up some fantastic fun together. We're staying in a very nice hotel and plan on doing some shopping... hmm maybe I shouldn't shop today... mmm, yes maybe I should.

As for this coming weekend, Jeff and I are kicking of the CAMPING SEASON! I am very excited, as long as the weather holds up. One of the things I bought him for Christmas was a tackle box, so he is excited to have need of that. We are going with Angela and her boyfriend Kim. The boys can fish and Angela and I can bask in the beautiful sun (God willing...). Sounds delightful!

And that is my blog for today.

Kristin.
